ASUS Announces New Technology to Boost Unlocked Intel® Core Processors and GeForce 400 Series Graphics Cards

Leading innovator today announced new Turbo Unlocker motherboard innovation for the latest Unlocked Intel® Core processors on the Computex show floor. ASUS also showcased its latest technologies, including Dual Intelligent Processors and Core Unlocker on motherboards, as well as the latest NVIDIA GeForce-based graphics cards.

With one in every three PCs worldwide featuring an ASUS motherboard, the pioneering company takes its leadership role to heart, leveraging resources and expertise to come up with ever more creative technology. As the premier provider of motherboards and graphics cards, ASUS shows the way with exclusive features such as Core Unlocker, Turbo Unlocker and the Dual Intelligent Processors architecture. Additional recent innovations include the first widescale implementation of USB 3.0 and user-friendly autotuning for superior overclocking.

Taking Motherboards Forward

Based on a legacy of unrivalled leadership in motherboard design and manufacture, ASUS continues to innovate with new ideas that enable and empower consumers. The new Turbo Unlocker optimizes CPU ratios and boosts performance whenever added workload handling is needed. The new technology extends to the latest Unlocked Intel® Core processors, and offers significant performance improvements for better multitasking media-intensive tasks.

“The desktop performance tuning market is an exciting one where ASUS and Intel have been leaders for many years,”commented Zane Ball, General Manager of the Desktop Platforms Division at Intel. “Turbo Unlocker is a powerful utility that will enable performance tuners to take full advantage of Intel® Extreme Edition and Unlocked enthusiast processors.”

The Dual Intelligent Processors bring even more innovation, featuring the TPU (TurboV Processing Unit) and EPU (Energy Processing Unit) in a dual-processing architecture that eases system loads while maximizing power efficiency across the board. No one other than ASUS has been able to deliver all these at a great value to consumers and with absolute reliability – these are the results of decades-long leadership.

New motherboards such as the M4A89/M4A88/M4A87 Series also deliver Core Unlocker to activate latent AMD CPU cores for added performance, the most complete and effective solution of its kind.

Elevating Visuals Beyond the Norm

Not content with trailblazing in motherboards, ASUS has focused efforts on becoming a vanguard in graphics cards, seamlessly ushering new technology, to be displayed at Computex. This includes the latest graphics engine from NVIDIA, helping enthusiasts make use of ASUS leadership in a timely manner.

The new ENGTX400 series graphics cards from ASUS are based on NVIDIAs GeForce 400 series technology, formerly known as Fermi, and add to the design with exclusives such as Voltage Tweak, which can speed up the GPU by up to 50%. The ample power of these DX11 cards takes gaming and graphics to a whole new level, made even better looking through intelligent image improvement technologies such as ASUS Splendid HD. They further add full support for NVIDIA 3D Vision, extending the three dimensional gaming and movie experience to the home, even on multiple screens.

As the forefront provider of graphics cards worldwide, ASUS is perfectly positioned to offer solutions tailored to the needs of the community, while at the same time giving it the resources to invest in future technologies.

This has been the story of ASUS firm placement as motherboard and graphics card leader, a combination of down to earth practicality and unmitigated passion for innovation. As seen in products both recent and upcoming, these leadership traits are here to stay. The company plans to introduce additional exciting technology during this Computex.
