Gadgetine is back with another netbook review. Today we get our hands on BenQ Joybook Lite U121. This laptop is equipped with 11.6″ screen and with very good battery. Hit Read More to check our full review.
Like a miniature thing, Joybook Lite U121 measures just 290x209x26.4mm and weights only 2.8 lb. Above the blue lid we can find 11.6″ display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. Full size keyboard is in black color, while rest of case is gray. Seems like the tiny touchpad is extra uncomfortable, but as mentioned, we have a full size keyboard.
Hinges are good and tough, but you cant open this netbook with only one hand. In front of Joybook Lite U121 we can find all info-lights: WiFi, Hard drive, caps-lock, num-lock, battery.
Keyboard looks and feels great. This is the best netbook keyboard that we have ever tested. In package you can find soft case for carrying you netbook around.
BenQ Joybook Lite U121 is equipped with Intel Atom Z520 processor, which runs at 1.33GHz, amount of RAM is 1GB, graphics – Intel GMA 500. In synthetic we got 1300 marks. We tried to play 720p video, but it was too hard for this laptop. Of course, if you want, you can watch HD videos with lags.
The next big best thing after keyboard is battery. With the smallest backlight running WiFi and Internet Explorer it works for about 8 hours, which is a very, very good score. Netbook comes with 160GB hard drive, pre-installed Windows XP.
