Yestreday with words “amazing”, “great” and “X times better/faster/more than 3GS” Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple presented latest iPhone mobile phone, which is called iPhone 4. On the first look design seems like LG or something, but that is because two years we have seen 3G and 3GS which both have the same design.
The side and chassis of new iPhone is made from stainless steel. Side steel also works as antenna for GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and GSM. Both sides of phone – display and rear is made from glass, Apple says that this glass ir 30 times stronger than plastic. New iPhone is 9.3 millimeters thin.
While demonstrating the networking features, Jobs had an failure with internet connection, but that was because in hall was approximately 570 WiFi hotspots.
Device is equipped with GPS, accelerometer, and will support n standard of WiFi.
iPhone 4 can be proud with integrated gyroscope, which together with accelerometer can provide six axes motion sensitivity.
The all new Retina display is awesome – resolutin is 960 x 460 pixels, IPS technology can provide better colors and viewing angle than OLED. Contrast level boosts up to 800:1 which is 4 times better than iPhone 3GS.
Battery is 16% bigger than in 3GS. Together with A4 processor it can bring up to 40% longer battery life:
- Talk over 3G: 7 hours.
- Browsing over 3G: 6 hours.
- Browsing over Wi-Fi: 10 hours.
- Video: 10 hours.
- Music: 40 hours.
- Stand-by: 300 hours.
Camera now is 5 megapixels and it can record 720p video with 30 frames per second. If you want to use camera in low-light conditions than there is LED flash. Videos you can process in phone with iMovie application ( application costs $5 ).
The new operating system is called iOS4. One of the biggest features is support of multitasking. Video call now is enabled too, but it works only with WiFi.
iPhone 4 will be available in June 24th in two colors white and black. 16GB model will cost $ 199, 32GB – $299.
